so here it is:  i joined the site to have access to questions i need answering regarding the issue of christianity, of all things.  in all my study (which is enormous) i am brought to this place in my faith where i am searching the bible's old testiment for proof that the messiah/suffering servant/son of g_d/yeshua ben yoseph is part of a triune g_d (trinitarian christian belief) and i cant find it.  there are no o.t. prophecies that i can find that say the messiah is part of a triune g_d.  I know the bible pretty well and have scoured it front to back and again for years just because thats my thing.  please don't chastize me because i came here for answers.  i study as many ancient manuscripts in my quest to understand the bible as possible, but i am not aware that there is an english translation of the torah - i wish there were a way to get the torah into the hands of the american christian world, because they may find that in many ways we have been decieved from the beginning of the faith.  I always felt that the protestant movement away from the roman catholic church was a good move, but have never been content to completely trust a book that came from the roman movement.  the protestants ommitted books that the roman catholics used, but i still can not understand why we are content to look only at those that have been handed down.  look at the division in the christian faith throughout history and that fruit is enough to make a person wonder.  starting with the first division when the roman catholic chruch was born, called the council of nicea when the romans pulled away from the ethiopian branch of the church.  the ethiopians would not subscribe to the idea that jesus was g_d on earth.  the romans are historically the most power hungry politically corrupt ruling force on the planet, and they are well known to have adopted the gods of any nation they conquered.  they were paegan, and according to every paegan ancient religeon, they followed suit in the practice of turning annointed leaders into something they are not - G_D.  the whole story laid out in the heavens regarding the birth of the messiah - the son of G_D was copied and couterfeited many times over throughout the ancient paegan religeons and then when that 'son of g-d' grew to man hood and reighned as a king they truned him into g_d-like status.  the romans did that to yeshua, destroyed anyone who would not subscribe, and the new testiment speaks of it -- at least the version of the n.t. testimonies of yeshua that have been handed down.  so today, the idea of stating that there is no triune trinitarian father-son-holy spirit is akin to blasphemy and he who states it is a heretic.  however, in order to make anything spoken in the new testiment legitimate, i require it to have been  pre-spoken in the old testiment - the hebrew writings - the torah because jesus stated that he was not changing anything, that the LAW was still good, and to break it is wrong.  He was a Jew, a rabbi, and the Jews are G_D's chosen people -- who were given his word & instruction. the purpose of jesus was to open a door to non-jews, not to do away with the law, he was very clear about that.  So O.T. G-D is one almighty above all creator of all - as is stated in the NT, but then there is this twist of G-D becoming a three in one.  people believed that to be the son of G-D was to be equal with G-D, but that is another human box we stick G-D into, which is a dangerous game.  I am a non-Jew by bloodline and am so thankful that i can have the opportunity to be adopted into his family through the work of christ, but i can no longer accept the elevation of the messiah into G-D status.
